Angel Studios (ANGX) Hits 2 Million Guild Members as David Dominates the Box Office

Angel Studios (ANGX) closed out the year with a major milestone: on December 30, the company announced it had surpassed two million paying Guild members. That's a 25% jump since last quarter—and double the one million members it had just nine months ago in March.

The timing isn't coincidental. The announcement comes on the heels of David, the studio's ambitious animated retelling of the biblical shepherd-turned-king, which opened in theaters nationwide on December 19. The film shattered records, becoming the highest-grossing faith-based animated theatrical opening of all time and the best three-day release in Angel Studios history.

As of December 31, David had earned $58.5 million domestically, according to Box Office Mojo—putting it on the cusp of recouping its approximately $60 million production budget in just under two weeks.
